Appointed time: Genesis 21:2

GOD’S TIME

Word of God: Sarah became pregnant in Abraham’s old age and gave birth to a son at God’s appointed time. Genesis 21: 2.

Beloved, human life is full of desires and aspirations. Everyone wants to get something within the time bond period. The philosophy of many people is that a person of a certain age must get this or that, or he must do it. For example, at a certain age, education, marriage, children and home must have done. This seems right from a human point of view. And The Scriptures also say that the fruit of the womb is a gift from God. The children of youth are like arrows in the bow of a hero. They will not sneeze when talking to the enemy at the gate. Psalm 127: 3-5. But Abraham and Sarah had to wait until they were old enough to have a baby. Then the question may arise: Why did God, who knows the importance of young children, keep Abraham and Sarah waiting so long? We need to understand this as we walk the path of blessing; So that we can look at the situation in our life positively and live a peaceful life enjoying our spiritual lifestyle.
God’s plan: God says to Jeremiah, “I knew you before I created you in the womb, and I sanctified you before you came out of the womb; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1: 5. God has a plan for everyone. God had planned this for us before we were born in our mother’s womb, and when the right time came, things would work. The same was true of Abraham.
God called Abraham and promised him that he would make a great nation out of him. But this would not happen overnight. Prior to that, God had much to teach Abraham. So Abraham learned from God’s experience and grew in faith. Prior to attaining such spiritual height as the Father of Faith, he acted under human fleshly tendencies. The apostle Paul, while guiding the congregation of the Romans, writes, “Not all Israelites are Israelites. And not because they are the children of Abraham, but because they are the children of God.” If not, then the children of the promise considered being the same children. Because the sentence of the promise is, I will come and Sarah will have a son “. Romans 9: 6-9. This means that the reason God delayed the giving of the Son to Abraham and Sarah was that it should convince us we are children of God through the promise.
God’s Plan and Purpose: We need to understand God’s plan and purpose for our lives. If we think about when God’s plan starts for us, we will realize that this plan is before it takes place in the mother’s womb. God has a special purpose behind this plan, just as Jeremiah was chosen as a prophet for the nations. Jeremiah 1: 5. Saint Paul was appointed to preach the gospel to the nations. He says, “Ever since I was born in my mother’s womb, the God who separated me and called me by his grace, it pleased him he should reveal his Son to me, that I might preach his gospel among the nations, without the permission of men.” And without going up to Jerusalem with those who were apostles before me, I departed to Arabia and returned to Damascus. Galatians 1: 15-17.
As God’s children, we see God’s plan and purpose on two levels. One is at the shared level and the other is at the individual level.
On a shared level, God’s Word says, “He appointed those whom he had known before to be like his Son so that he might be the first of many brothers. We were created in Christ Jesus to do good works, the work of his craft, which God has ordained for us to walk in. Ephesians 2:10. From this, God chooses all Christians to live a life similar to that of Jesus Christ.
At the individual level, just as God has plans and purposes on a shared level, He is also on a personal level for everyone. This is clear from the gifts of the Spirit. St. Paul gives an example from the body of Christ, saying that you are the body of Christ and his different parts in each place. And the many that God has placed in the church are first the apostles, then the prophets, then the teachers, then the power to work miracles, then the gifts of healing, the help, the authority, the various interpretations. The spiritual gifts to act in this way is different for everyone. 1 Corinthians 12: 17-28.
Here, everyone should recognize his spiritual gifts and respond accordingly to God’s plan, our personal calling. Living a spiritual life following a shared calling in the Lord comes at a time appointed by God so that God’s personal plan for us comes into view. And as we respond to that plan, our lives have blessed. We all need to understand that the meaning of association is God calls that everyone in the church and is part of a very meaningful life.
Conclusion: Abraham was a hundred years old when God gave him the promised Son, and his wife was ninety years old. Think about how and why these dead bodies gained strength. Isn’t this a testimony to God and a manifestation of his glory? God’s resolve leads to fulfilment. He does not need the art or qualities of us. We need to understand our calling and wait for God’s time. So don’t lose patience while waiting for your blessings. God will give everything according to his time. God gives strength to the weary and strengthens the weak. The youth also will be weary and faint, but those who wait for Jehovah will renew their strength. They will fly like eagles. They will run, but they will not be weary. Isaiah 40: 29-31.

PRAYER: O God, help me to wait patiently, for you have really kept good things for me. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
