It is True, Abram rescued his nephew Lot by defeating the invading kings; But when everything calmed down, he realized he had taken an enormous risk. He thought that I have hurt these kings and now they will come and attack me to get revenge. He was thinking; I had no choice rather than attack, but because of this, I have put to risk everything. When Abram was so discouraged by these thoughts, God promised him the above that he would not be afraid; I am your shield, your substantial reward. One thing to keep in mind here is that when God chooses us, He stands behind us with all his might. Abraham’s might was not limited to the strength of his own power, but God helped him to defeat the armies of four kingdoms at once. Won’t God protect him every time from those kings? Or will he not defeat his enemies again and again anywhere? Of course, he will, because he has promised him that if anyone thinks evil about you, I will harm him, Genesis 12:1-3 but he was still afraid because he was not free from the flesh. He could not understand God’s presence with him. So he was scared and worried. We are often frightened, but we should always remember that God is with us, just as Abram. Not just your shield; but he fights our battle. God is taking care of His children at every moment. Psalm 121: 1-8 says that God never sleeps or takes a nap. He protects them from all troubles. The Lord Jesus says, ‘Even God has counted the hairs of your head’ Luke 12: 7. do not be afraid, God is fighting your war,
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank you for always being with me. As thou dist protect Abraham, and gave him victory, and comforted him, same way shalt thou helps me, that I may serve you fearlessly. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

26th DAY
BOWED DOWN IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD
Verse: I will confirm my covenant between you and me; well greatly increase your numbers. Abram fell facedown, and God said to him. Genesis 17: 2-3.
At ninety-nine, God is talking to Abram. I make an agreement between you and me. I will expand you indefinitely. Hearing this, Abram bowed down before God. While prostrating, the person has to touch his forehead completely to the ground and he should clasp his hands. This form of Worshipping shows complete devotion. By this act, Abram was expressing his feelings to God that God is very kind. You are really omnipotent. I am completely subject to your will. I honour you, I will be honest with you. This is one of the best ways to be disciplined and humble before God. When God helped Abraham’s servant find Isaac’s wife (Rebecca), he bowed his head to the ground in thanksgiving, Genesis 24:26.
Like Abram, we see young and old, zealously serving God. Truly, we are the inheritors of a very great culture. We must love the heroes of Scripture wholeheartedly, follow them, and love our Creator and Savior, the Lord Jesus, wholeheartedly, and with full force. Then, no matter how out of hand your situation may be, God will expand and prosper you immensely.
PRAYER: O Lord Jesus, your plans are higher than the heavens. Your power is so great that we cannot comprehend it. I thank you for your attention to me in this great universe. Help me to walk humbly. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
