God’s promise to Abraham, Genesis 15: 1.

about us
the bible

Bible Verse: After these things, the word of Jehovah came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Don’t be afraid; I am your shield, your greatest reward. Genesis 15: 1.

God's promise to Abraham, Genesis 15: 1.

It is true, Abram rescued his nephew Lot by defeating the invading kings; But when everything calmed down, he realized he had taken an enormous risk. He thought that I have hurt these kings and now they will come and attack me for revenge. Now I have nothing. I have put everything in danger. When Abram was so discouraged by these thoughts, God promised him the above that he would not be afraid; I am your shield, your glorious reward. One thing to keep in mind here is that when God chooses us, He stands behind us with all his might. Abraham defeats the armies of four kingdoms at once, but not by his own might, but God had given him the power to get this glorious victory. Won’t God protect him every time? Or will he not give victory to his enemies? Of course, he will, because he has promised him that if anyone cares about you, I will harm him, but he is still afraid because we are free from the impulses of the flesh.

Because of this, it is difficult to understand God’s presence with us. God is with us, as Abraham was with Israel.
Not just your shield; So this is our war. God is taking care of His children at every moment. Psalm 121: 1-8 says that God never sleeps or takes a nap. He protects them from all troubles. The Lord Jesus says, ‘The hairs on your head are all numbered. ‘ Luke 12: 7.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I thank you for always being with me. As thou dist protect Abram’s shield, and gave him.
Victory, and comforted him, so dost thou help me, that I may serve the fearlessly. Asks in the name of Jesus, Amen.
