HOW TO FACE ENEMIES?
Word of God: Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Psalm 62: 5.
Introduction: This is a world with strange things. People who have no business with you may feel jealous of you. They may create problems in your life. Your fellow person may always try to pull you down. Such situations make us irritated, nervous, and fearful. Life can become burdensome. In such kinds of situations, King David said he finds comfort in God. how is it possible for him?
Be calm and wait upon God:
The struggle in the life of King David was extreme. Because of external enemies and internal enemies, he was experiencing subterranean politics. There were internal conspirators with curses in the heart and insidious people surrounding him. Naturally, in such kinds of situations, humans can do anything to overcome. For example, trying to answer in the same way, trying to get help from others, and making a very wrong decision like suicide. But these kinds of steps cannot help man to solve life’s problems but increase. In such kinds of situations, we should be calm and wait upon the Lord is the best way to overcome. The word of God says,” It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” lamentations 3:26.
Keep trusting in God:
King David experienced God’s help from time to time throughout his struggling life. God miraculously helped him in the face of great adversity and challenges. So he was not afraid, he was not disturbed; he rested his soul on God and remained calm. There are more or fewer adversities in everyone’s life, but believers face adversity more easily than people of worldly wisdom because they trust in God. Psalm 56:2-4 depicts, “My slanders pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride. When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?”
Keep praying:
In troublesome we should pour out our hearts before God in constant prayers. Psalmist says, “Trust in him at all the time, o people; pour out your heart to him, for he is our refuge.” Ps62:8. Saint Paul says,” Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12. He teaches to the congregation of Philippians that, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7.
