OUTSTANDING SUCCESS
And when he let her drink, she said, “I will draw enough water for your camels to drink. Genesis 24: 9.
Introduction: Everyone wants the best in life, but many do not know how to achieve it. So sometimes they blame the planets and stars in the sky and sometimes they blame their fate. Many blame others for their failures. But that is not all. If we want to get the best out of life, we need to understand some things following.
Relationship with God:
If you want to get the best out of life, you need to have a good relationship with God. Many people take their relationship with God for granted. They never think about what God wants them to do. As a result, it deprived them of the work that God has given them. Their life is self-centred. So they lose great blessings. Look at the life of Abraham. He was following his call. His relationship with God was very close. So it was possible for him to get the best with God’s help. So he assured Eliezer by faith, “The Lord God of heaven, who brought me from my father’s house, from my birthplace, and swore to me I would give this land to your offspring; And from thence thou shalt bring forth a daughter for my son, Genesis 24: 7.
Like Abraham, if we understand it is our duty to live a holy life in God’s will through faith in Christ and to follow His work, then we have a relationship with Him and no one can stop us from getting the best out of life. Just think of this promise: “You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friend, for everything that I learn from my father I have made known to you. You did not choose me but I chose you and appointed you to bear fruit that will last, then the father will give you whatever you ask in my name “John 15: 14-16.
Entrust Your Plan to God:
If you have convinced your relationship with God is good, you can entrust your plan to God with faith. Doing so leads to greater success. Eliezer had come to the land of Abraham’s relatives, as Abraham told him, but the land was unfamiliar to him. In such a situation, he wanted to find a bride for Isaac. It was very difficult, but Abraham’s steward knew the power of God. He believed only God could do that. So he devised a wise plan and left it in God’s hands. He could do that; Because he knew how close Abraham’s relationship with God was.
Never Tired of Doing Good:
The Scriptures always encourage us to say, “Let us not be weary of doing good, for if we do not spend we will reap in due time” Galatians 6: 9. If we want to achieve good things in life, our minds should have to be nurtured with good manners and our bodies should be strong.
Eliezer prayed to God, “Look, God, I am standing here by the water’s edge, and the girls of the village are coming here to draw water. And let it come to pass that the damsel to whom I shall say, let down thy pitcher, I pray thee that I may drink and She will say, “Drink, and I will give you enough water for your camels. I will assume that you have chosen for my lord the one that will happen.” Genesis 24:14. He wanted to have a beautiful bride for Isaac. He also wanted a bride with good manners and health, so he made it a condition because it was once possible for a stranger to go down to the well and fill a jug and bring it down for a stranger, but with him, it was difficult to draw water from the well for his ten camels. According to experts, a camel drinks 200 litres of water in three minutes [53 gallons]. Think about how much water ten camels can drink. When there is nothing to borrow, the person who has tremendous strength, enthusiasm, and extraordinary respect for humanity can take such a responsibility. Her family well-received Rebekah, the family knew God. Her health was good and her life was full of excitement, so she could respond positively to Eliezer’s request with no expectations and for blessed with great blessings.
Take the example of Caleb. His mind was refined in God’s Word and he was also physically strong. At eighty-five, he says to Joshua, “Look, I am eighty-five years old today. I am as strong today as I was the day Moses sent me. God blessed Caleb and gave him Hebron as his inheritance, and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, inherited a great city like Hebron.
If we want the best blessings in life, our body and mind must be blessed, and our relationship with God is strong, we will never tire of doing good from a human point of view. As a result, you will be the standard-bearer of outstanding success.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, you are with me every time, so give me the wisdom to help and guide you in everything. Help me not to rely on my wisdom. Give me a zealous heart and a powerful body in the name of Jesus. Amen.
