HAPPY MARRIAGE LIFE.
Brought Isaac her into the tent of his mother, Sarah, and he married Rebekah. So she became his wife, and he loved her, and it comforted Isaac after his mother’s death. Genesis 24:67.
Introduction: Isaac was very fond of his mother Sarah, who had born her in her old age. She fell in love with her only child. So Sarah’s departure had created a huge void in Isaac’s life. Isaac, overwhelmed by his mother’s memories of love, his grief increased day by day. There was a question of how to fill the place of mother’s love. No one can fill that void.
Only love can fill the void of love: Here we see Rebekah fell in love with Isaac when he came into Isaac’s life, and she comforted Issac, from the grief of his mother’s departure. One thing is clear from this that only love can fill the void of love. Isaac saw his mother Sarah in Rebekah and fell in love with her, so he recovered from his mother’s grief.
Love brings happiness: The love between husband and wife makes life happier. All you need to do is look at each other from the right perspective. Isaac’s heart must have been pounding at the thought of her mother’s death. His mother’s absence must have bothered him. Isaac, who filled the void with his wife, Rebekah, teaches us how sacred the relationship between husband and wife is. And Rebekah was a very cultured and blessed girl. She had not only moved into Isaac’s mother’s home but had become his mother, so her love could comfort him.
Holy marriage is a basis of joy in family life: Isaac and Rebekah teach us what it means to have a husband and wife through a holy marriage, and it also reveals the secret of why God made a woman out of a man’s flesh. God wants to establish a blessed family system by establishing a holy marriage. This is also noticeable.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, you are the founder of the institution of holy marriage. Guide and support each other so that all husbands and wives can love one another and their families can have a blessed life. Listen as I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
