GREAT GOD,
For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. Psalm 95: 3.
We cannot understand the glory of God in his wholeness. Human reasoning has limitations. We cannot see his totality with our open eyes. The Holy Bible only source for us to understand him.
Psalmist described him as a God of gods and King of all kings. Because the king has a prominent place in every culture of Earth. King is considered a representative or image of God in humanity. Some cultures receive kings as God. but earthly kings are human only. They have limitations as general human beings. They are not equal to God and we cannot see an image of God in their midst. Scripture says, “Who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen, or can see.” 1 Timothy 6: 4. ” To whom you will compare me? Or who is my equal? Says the Holy One. Isaiah 40:25. but the psalmist used this metaphor of kings to worship and praise because he cannot think beyond it. Instead, no one can think and understand the glory of God.
Jehovah is the eternal God. He is the Creator and Owner of the universe. He removes the king from the throne and makes an average person king. Judges nations. Therefore, he was called the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
He is the Creator of the universe, the Almighty, the Omnipresent, the All-Knowing, and the All-Powerful, the Eternal Lord God. We should serve Him because He is worthy of praise and worship. May the Lord Jehovah pour out his light upon us, and may his glorious blessing come upon us. God says,” I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can snatch them out of my hand. John 10:28.
PRAYER: O Lord Jesus, the Eternal God, the Creator of me and of all creation, honour, glory, and glory be to you forever. Shine your light upon me, that I may serve you. I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
