Women's day
women’s day

Introduction:

As we know, Women’s Day celebrates all over
the world on the eighth of March. The purpose behind this is to appreciate the
heights achieved by women around the world. To take forward the ideological
movement to provide equal status and opportunities to women. This is a women’s
political movement. This movement is being carried forward all over the world
by the supporters of feminism, thinkers, social and political activists.

There is a worldwide belief that women are being exploited in
almost all cultures. This system of exploitation expected to be abolished,
and women expected to have the same social, political, religious and
economic status as men. Efforts are being made on many levels to make this happen.

When we think of our country, we realize that our attitude
towards women is wrong. For example, to discrimination between a boy and a girl. If a girl is born, many consider it the fruit of sin. If a boy is born, most of
us consider him “Kuldeepak” (heir), a girl is the wealth of another,
a boy is the backbone of the family. These ideologies affect the upbringing of
girls, giving them a second place in everything from their diet to their
education and career. We still see and experience the universal belief that the
child and kitchen are the first duty of a woman. Therefore, many
programs implemented in our country for the upliftment of women. We see
many charitable organizations, social activists, political parties, and the
government working together for the upliftment of women. Yet other nations of
the world and us have not fully succeeded in this fight for women’s liberation.
From a Christian point of view, it is just an illusion. Let’s look at some reasons.

We do not acknowledge the basic question of this issue: we know
that until we do not know the cause of the disease, the disease cannot treated rightly. The same has happened to this movement. The leaders of this
movement feel that the root of the exploitation of women lies in the
patriarchal social system. So they target this system and then criticize male
egoism, male domination. They believe that religion, culture, tradition,
marriage, family, politics, economics are all elements of the social system
created for the domination of men and that women consciously given a
secondary place.

Today, we gave women equal status to men in education, in
business, in jobs, in politics, in religion, and in property rights. We have
concluded that the man should take care of the kitchen while the
woman is going out and earning money. However, is the basic question of
exploitation solved or not? Analyzing this basic question, the answer is no.
Because the primary source of exploitation is not patriarchal society, but “original
sin” according to the Bible. No social system is free from the effects of
this “original sin.”At least the Church should understand this.”

What is Original Sin: We know God created man from dust
and created woman from man’s body. The reason for creating these men and women
was that they should have one body and work towards one goal. God is the head
Here and men and women are for God’s work. Dominance has no place here at all.
Men and women on behalf of God or according to the plan and purpose of him;
they should take care of the creation on earth. It expected and practical
for them to do as God has told them. Because it is right that the Creation
should devoted to the creator’s will and plan. Because the full potential of the
creation and the plan is up to the creator. Creation cannot
carry out that plan by possessing that capacity. Yet Satan, God’s enemy,
encouraged the first man and woman to do so. And the sin of disobedience
committed by this man and woman out of the temptation of superiority called
the “original sin.”

Consequences of original sin: This sin damaged the
relationship between God and man. Man has got a hard life and finally death.
Man became subject to the lusts of the flesh. The motives of jealousy, depriving
and dominating one another prevailed mainly in human beings because it was
these motives that gave birth to the original sin. So God gave man over to
these motives. Everything that man creates is flawed and has negative
consequences. Jealousy, deprivation, and domination affect everything that is fabricated.

Marriage and family are institutions. They created with a very noble purpose. According to the Bible, God establishes these institutions, but we see that husband and wife forget marriage vows in two
days, or some of them are not even give important to this religious activity. From day one, husband and
wife, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are all ready to dominate each other.

From a very practical point of view, we can say that if
we want to build a just society and nation, we have to fix it where it went
wrong. The consequences of original sin; We should note here that
the original sin will disappear only after submitting our lives to the will of God through Jesus Christ.

Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ destroys the effects of
original sin:
The Lord Jesus came into the world to save us from this original
sin. He accepted death on the cross to follow God’s plan and will. Until his
death, he lived a life devoted to God’s will for judging man righteous and
condemning Satan. Therefore, God accepts every human being who believes in the
Lord Jesus Christ as righteous and forgives him by abolishing the sin of
disobedience. Because by believing in the Lord Jesus, the believer declares he will walk the same path that the Lord Jesus walked, and will remain
devoted to God’s will until the end of his earthly life.

God welcomes this decision of the believer and gives him the
Holy Spirit to overcome the lusts of the flesh. We call this the new birth in
Christ. The Holy Scriptures say that; whoever believes in Jesus Christ is a new
creation. This fresh man does not follow any worldly system, i.e. matriarchal,
patriarchal, patriarchal or feminist culture. He follows God’s will and plan.
God’s will is that there should be no discrimination, husband and wife should
be one body. It is God’s will that a husband should take care of his wife as he
should take care of his own body, love her, satisfy her and the wife should
respect her husband. It is God’s will that women should treated like sisters
by men, except their wives. God does not underestimate women in terms of
accomplishment. There are many examples in the Scriptures that God chose and
anointed women just as He chose and anointed men. God’s Word says that in
Christ Jesus, no one is superior or inferior. One baptism for all, one Spirit
for all, and one Lord for all.

So, the only way for humanity to turn to God is through faith
in the Lord Jesus. Otherwise, no matter how good the system looks, it will be
flawed. Because the basic sinful desires of jealousy, deprivation and
domination work in everything that man creates, so the struggle in any form
arises and the same vicious cycle continues again. Now men are trying to start
a liberation movement.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, have mercy on us and help us live a
life of witness. There is no discrimination and no place for exploitation in you. Let it known that you are the
saviour of humankind from this vicious cycle of exploitation. In the name of
Jesus, listen, Amen.
