You are victorious Genesis 24:60

VICTORIOUS LIFE

And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, “Our sister, you are a mother of tens of millions, and let your children take possession of those who hate you. Genesis 24:60.

Rebekah’s family blessed her when she left with Abraham’s servants. This blessing is very inspiring. May your offspring grow into the millions. Numbers were very important in those days. It increases the muscle power of family and community. Those who accumulate muscle power dominate others. They did not as an advance in law and order as it is today. In a state of hope, only a society with strength, courage, and the ability to fight in unity would achieve stability and prosperity.
Blessing Rebekah, her family proclaimed, “Let your children take the place of those who hate you. One thing to note here is that this blessing awaits a peace-loving society, the language used here is to capture the city get, but it is not to rob others or dominate others but those who will attack you, who will try to destroy you by hating you, who want to enslave you. This is a blessing in the sense that you must be strong enough to teach the enemy a lesson.

Are there people around you today who hate you so much, try to stop your progress, take you back to slavery? The answer may or may not be yes, but you must expect and strive for a just, strong, homogeneous, and advanced society. We should bless our children at all levels, physical, spiritual, social, economic, and politically. Only we can build a just society because God has blessed us to be the salt, light, and leader of the earth Matthew 5: 13-16. We have promised God that, and the Lord shall make thee the head, not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not beneath, Deuteronomy 28:13, So we should not fall short in sowing strength in our children. Looking at your children, I should see that I am looking at the king or queen of tomorrow. Regardless of our social, economic, or political background today, we need to realize that we are God’s people, his holy people. 1 Peter 2: 9-10.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, you have chosen me to be your witness on earth. I cannot do this work if I am selfish or self-centred. So give me the right outlook on life. In the name of Jesus, listen. Amen.
